Ram Jakhu, Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of McGill University, has generously donated his personal collection of books, reports, and journal back volumes to the Global Library. Professor Jakhu has served in various capacities at the Institute of Air and Space Law as well as the Centre for Research in Air and Space Law at the McGill University. See his biography here: https://www.mcgill.ca/law/profs/jakhu-ram
He wrote to us:
“To best of my knowledge and estimate, this set of books, that I accumulated over a period of forty years, will be the largest collection of space law books at least in Asia. Several of them are out of print and classic books. In addition to some books on public international law that I have included in this shipment, these books will be an exceptional source for study of, and advanced research in, space law at your university. I am particularly pleased that your university showed vision, leadership, and wisdom in hosting this unique collection of scholarly books in the field of space law study which has become very important due to the fact that space exploration and use are already indispensable for almost all human activities….”
We have catalogued the books donated by Prof. Ram Jakhu. The collection is housed at Imaginarium, Savitri Jindal Faculty Office Block.
