The Global Library offers study spaces throughout its premises, encompassing all four wings, the central hall ground floor and the mezzanine.
Understanding the needs of patrons undertaking intensive research or preferring late-night study, the The Global Reading Room (North wing), South, East and West wings offer 24/7 access to their dedicated reading rooms and halls, allowing for maximum, unconstrained study time.
The Central Hall, and Mezzanine areas offer study spaces accessible from 9:00 AM to 12:00 midnight.
To accommodate students during exam preparation, all study spaces are accessible 24/7. Additionally, adjacent classrooms near the library are opened at night based on demand.
Reflective Commons (Ratan Jindal Academic Block – T3)
Located on the second floor of the Ratan Jindal Academic Block (T3), 16 breakout rooms for focused and collaborative academic work, including two nine-seater rooms – Brahmaputra and Sabarmati – designated for exclusive student use under the Office of Student Affairs (OSA).
Shaantalaya & Shaantakona (Shallu Jindal Academic Block – T5)
Situated in the Shallu Jindal Academic Block (T5), Shaantalaya is a 300-seater silent reading space for students, with Shaantakona designated for doctoral scholars, open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
