In the editorial “There and back again? Law, culture, and scholarly publishing,” Max Steuer and Thibault Weigelt critically examine long-standing challenges in academic publishing, including the underrepresentation of Global South journals and the growing disconnect between scholarly output and readership. Reflecting on the Jindal Global Law Review’s 14-year journey, the authors call for a more inclusive, diverse, and reflective publishing culture. The issue also features the journal’s first reviews-only section—an effort to expand the scope of academic engagement beyond traditional articles. (JGLR | Pure)
