Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Introduction

Managers in the last two decades have witnessed a period of change unparalleled in the history of the world, in terms of advances in technology, globalization of markets, and stabilization of political economies. With the increasing number of “world-class” competitors both domestically and abroad, organizations have had to improve their internal processes rapidly in order to stay competitive.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a revolution that has the capacity to challenge all the norms and practices, followed by industries and businesses. From strategy to operations, from internal operations to external operations, from automotive to FMCG, from pharmaceutical to chemical, SCM has brought in revolution in each sector.

This resource guide, prepared by the library staff aims to list useful sources of information on the subject, that are available in JGU Library and elsewhere, both in print and electronic forms. It also includes important links to useful free & open access web resources.
