IDEAS : It is the largest bibliographic database dedicated to Economics and is available freely on the Internet. SOLID WASTE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR RECYCLING (SWIFR) GRANTS FOR TRIBES AND INTERTRIBAL CONSORTIA Environmental Protection Agency : The Solid Waste for Infrastructure (SWIFR) grant program funded through the BIL is an historic investment in the health, equity, and resilience of American communities. The unprecedented funding provided by BIL through the SWIFR grants will assist local waste management authorities by supporting improvements to local post-consumer materials management, including municipal recycling programs, and assisting local waste management authorities in making improvements to local waste management systems. The SWIFR grant program provides a critical opportunity to fund a range of highimpact projects to increase recycling, reduce contamination, and promote a circular economy for sustainable materials management by making much-needed investments in solid waste management infrastructure. Call for Applications: NBER Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program on Energy Economics : To encourage research on energy economics, the NBER, with the generous support of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, is sponsoring a dissertation fellowship for a doctoral student in economics. The fellowship will be awarded for a one-year period by a selection panel chaired by Meredith Fowlie (University of California – Berkeley) and Ryan Kellogg (University of Chicago). The panel will assess each applicant’s potential to contribute to important questions in energy economics.
The fellowship recipient will be expected to pursue academic research that is primarily related to energy economics, with an emphasis on issues that are relevant to energy markets and policy in the United States. Environmental Economics Research Committee (EERC) Funds for Enironmental Economics Research : Four projects under this theme evaluate the impact of poor environmental conditions on peoples health and associated economic damages. Environmental, socio-economic and health data from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh and Lucknow are collected. They try to establish the environment-health and economic interlinkages in India. The themes cover issues ranging from environmental exposure to policyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in economically underprivileged population of urban areas in UP, comparative health risk assessment for environmental concerns in North Chennai and environmental costs of industrialization in Gujarat.

EPA Environmental Economics Postdoctoral Research Opportunity : This research opportunity is currently available at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Environmental Measurement & Modeling (CEMM), Watershed & Ecosystem Characterization Division (WECD) located in Cincinnati, Ohio. EPA ORD recently reorganized and this is the newly named Center. This was formerly in the National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL). This research project is to conduct an analysis of the economic impacts of contaminated sites, brownfields remediation, and revitalization.
