Entrepreneurship

Introduction

Introduction

Entrepreneurship is generally understood to be the practice of starting new business organizations in response to perceived opportunities. It results in establishment of small one-person business as well as large organizations capable of creating many job opportunities.

The achievements and contributions of entrepreneurs have been acknowledged by society, and many entrepreneurs have been honoured and awarded for their efforts. Entrepreneurs like Dhirubhai Ambani, Bill Gates, John Rockefeller and Lakshmi Mittal have become role models for many aspiring entrepreneurs. An important questions often asked is: can entrepreneurship be taught? Yes, it can be taught, although not necessarily in a classroom. It is, therefore, incorrect to presume that entrepreneurs are born, not made.
